Modern land information systems require more than digital parcel drawings—they demand structured, accurate, and maintainable data that reflects both legal records and on-the-ground reality. The ArcGIS Parcel Fabric offers GIS professionals a framework to organize, edit, and validate parcel data. This presentation demonstrates how to utilize the Parcel Fabric to identify and rectify “problem parcels,” including gaps, overlaps, missing ties, and conflicting dimensions. Emphasis was placed on ArcGIS Pro tools and workflows, including identification techniques, adjustment methods, and reporting, as well as best practices for integrating deeds, surveys, and control data. Case examples demonstrated the process of diagnosing and resolving issues to produce a more accurate and defensible parcel database. Attendees gained practical strategies to improve data quality while supporting the legal and administrative integrity of cadastral records.
